Responsibilities include day and night shift supervision, operation, and preventive maintenance of critical technical systems at the Bermuda Hospital

(KEMH Acute Care Wing) including:

• Steam Boiler Plant
• Generating systems
• Air compressors, water softeners, air dryers, pumps, and fans
• Reverse osmosis plant
• Water abstraction and rejection systems
• HVAC systems and associated components
• Plumbing and electrical systems
• Generator test
• Operating room equipment
• Fire and life safety systems (e.g., fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm panels
• Mechanical systems
• Patient entertainment system, and nurse call system
• Building automation system
• Pneumatic tube transport and medical gas/air systems
• All other building systems essential to facility operations

• Assisted electrician with pulling wire, helped install and wire Tesla power walls, inverters, sub panels, and main panels. Testing installations to ensure safety. Maintained a courteous and respectful demeanor while interacting with clients, fostering positive relationships and good communication. Learned explaining electrical work processes, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements to clients.

• My role involved learning the trade under the guidance of experienced mechanics. This includes assisting with routine tasks, observing repairs, acquiring hands-on experience, and gradually taking on more responsibilities as my skills develop.

• Required to maintain an open/closed gate, control sign in sheets for all site visitors, checklist PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for all workers and visitors to site, and occasionally assist with deliveries.
