  • Under the Department of Student Services & Education Officer for Behavior, the Educational Therapist is responsible for the overall intake, assessment and behavior intervention planning for students with behavioral challenges
  • This planning includes the assessment, data collection, implementation, training, and evaluation of fidelity for Functional Behavior Assessments and all behavior modification techniques
  • The ET is responsible for the clinical oversight and supervision of the relevant Paraprofessionals and educational Therapist Assistants servicing the case load to ensure effective data collection and implementation of BMod techniques
  • Safely & securely manage all client files with confidentiality measures is place
  • Coordinate the referral and assessment process with external agencies and additional ministry related services for clients such as Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapy; in addition to the coordination of therapeutic experiential learning in sport, art, and vocation
  • The ET sits on the MTSS Committee and performs all associated administrative duties as asked by the school Principal related to any student on the case load
  • The ET serves as the consultant in the school building for behavior and classroom management related concerns.

  • Under the supervision of The Program Director: Deliver effective case management services and discharge planning by assessing inmates utilizing appropriate psychosocial assessment, risk assessment and screening procedures
  • Determine classification level and identify criminogenic risk and needs of the client
  • Prepare a criminal profile and case management report along with client recommendations each month to the Inmate Service Committee which consists of vocational, educational, social work, psychology, medical (psychiatric) and religious service coordinators in order to develop an itemized treatment plan (Case Plans)
  • Formulate a criminal profile and case management report for Parole, Probation, and Mental Health Clients Committee
  • Coordinate services with community agencies and other government departments i.e
  • Court Services Department, Financial Assistance, and Substance Misuse Treatment, Family Services as needed
  • Prepare and maintain confidential files that can be transferred between facilities
  • Maintain an up to date database of all clients
  • Associated duties related to any day to day concerns or queries from Senior DOC Management and Staff.
