As Assistant Financial Controller, I work within the finance depart for Stablehouse and the broader XBTO Group as a whole, reporting to the Group’s Chief Financial Officer. My role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency across various financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Oversee daily and monthly reporting for internal stakeholders, the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies.

Vendor Management: Manage vendor onboarding and ensure timely payments.

Customer Transactions: Oversee customer deposits, withdrawals and assist with trading settlements

Group Accounting: Prepare consolidated financial statements for the Group.

External Audits: Coordinate and complete external audits.

Banking Relationships: Maintain and manage relationships with banking partners.

- External relationship management with banks, vendors and trading counterparties

- Producing reports for Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) reporting

- Cross-border accounting for newly opened companies within the XBTO Group including entities based in Bermuda, USA, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates)

In my role as financial consultant, I was consulted to the finance department within Stablehouse, a digital asset company that provides a crypto asset trading platform for its users. My responsibilities ranged from day-to-day accounting, making payments, vendor management, monthly closing of the books, report creation, regulatory compliance (regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority) and financial statements creation and upkeep as well as handling customer’s withdrawals/deposits, interacting and working with internal and external auditors.

Work Experience Gained:
•Well versed in Xero Accounting (from day-to-day use to creating/pulling reports)
•Able to well manage and work with auditors when being audited
•Ability to prepare statements and report under IFRS or US GAAP
•Able to create processes and monitor process within an internal controlenvironment.
•Have knowledge of and can work on the company’s back-end system of theirtrading platform

In my concluding role as an Auditor in Charge at KPMG, my responsibilities included handling/leading the audits of KPMG’s clients, covering a wide array of skills such as team and project management as well as ensuring the correct accounting, tax and overall financial treatments are being upheld. Was consistently rated effective or higher on all my audits.

Some clients I was an auditor in charge of include:
- British American Tobacco South Africa (Pty) Ltd- An ICOFR (Internal controls over financial reporting) and PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) audit, requiringspecialized training and knowledge.

The Tuffy Group- Managed the inventory, cost of sales, expenses and liabilities of the audit. Was rated as a star performer during this audit in 2021 by the managers.
-Mulilo PV RF (Pty) Ltd- A renewable energy company. Was the sole in-charge for this audit and managed to get the audit signed in a tighter window, due to efficienciesimplemented and through building a good client relationship.

Work Experience Gained:
•Well versed in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including its advancedcapabilities)
•Adapted to a major auditing system change in 2021 and mentored others(including managers and partners) on how to use said new system
•Project management (handled multiple audits at once and successfully split timebetween the audits whilst leading the teams on said audits simultaneously)
•Team leader for teams as big as 9 members
•Oversaw/audited the implementation of new accounting standards for myclients, such as IFRS 15- revenue and IFRS 16- leases
