Responsible for executing and managing Application Development and Support of the policy administration and accounting system across the reinsurance segment. Managing a team that consists of solution architects, business analysts, developers and QA testers. Working closely with the leadership team to develop a roadmap

that provides technology solutions that support the business strategy.

· Streamlined support and development model for the reinsurance group by consolidating development and compliance processes and automating QA. This decreased the product delivery cycle by 3.5 days/monthly release.

· Optimization of the team by restructuring responsibilities and service agreements. This initiative has reduced the budget by $850K.

· Implementing API, integration and messaging solutions to eliminate redundancies, improve data quality and introduce efficiencies as data flows between pricing, policy admin and reporting systems

Partnered with business stakeholders and vendor in software development project that involved migration from legacy reinsurance policy and accounting system to a bespoke product. The project began with requirements gathering and successfully concluded with a custom developed reinsurance system that processes policy data and reinsurance transactional calculations (premium, claims, cash, accruals, earnings, ceded and IBNR).

· Worked as translator between business and vendor by preparing user stories that captured business rules and features

· Designed conversion platform that was used during migration to validate and reconcile transactional and metadata.

· Implemented procedures which ensured the development process adhered to high-risk compliance requirements

Provided oversight of the UAT process and ensured test scenarios satisfied business requirements

Programmer role and additional areas of responsibility from previous role included;

· Implementing a compliance framework for support and development of finance systems.

· Data conversion and integration stemming from business acquisitions. This included contract and financial data (premium, loss, cash and receivables)

Responsible for application development and support of policy admin and reinsurance accounting system.

Responsible for vendor management and team of 3 developers to facilitate the migration and conversion from legacy systems.
