  • I learned and acquired the role of guide in Montessori pedagogy. Like a mountain or tourist guide, the pedagogue has the necessary knowledge to show children the right way, tell them what to pay attention to, and how to behave.
    I learned to think like a scientist. In their training, in addition to various educational activities and the correct use of Montessori materials, pedagogues learn to develop and use two fundamental skills in this method: the spirit of observation and the imagination.
    I encouraged the children's independence. The mastery of the teacher consists in preparing the environment (the class) in such a way as to incite the children's interest and to offer them sufficient freedom of movement and manifestation within safety limits.
    Showing respect for the child. Respect for the needs and preferences of a child is the basis of the relationship between teacher and student.
    As a pedagogue in Montessori education, I learned to behave gently, to speak calmly, and politely with children. to be firm, funny but also respectful with them.
    Consequently, children also learn to show this kind of respect towards those around them, taking into account everyone's right to have different needs and preferences.
    Careful preparation of the environment every day. Sanitizing the materials, completing them, and eliminating some of them that can hinder the child's development.
    Developing positive relationships with students, families, staff members, and outside agencies.
