Before returning to Bermuda I spent 32 years in Canada. During that time I trained and worked as an Ordained Salvation Army Officer from 1978-1984, serving not only as a Corps Officer but also as an Assistant Administrator in a Senior's Home. Although no longer an Ordained Officer I remain an active member of The Salvation Army. After resigning as an Officer I did Private Duty nursing and Child care before working as a Night Nursing Supervisor in a home for disabled children. I worked in this capacity for 23 years until I returned home to help care for my aging parents. I believe my living overseas while my parents were experiencing health challenges helps me relate better to the families of my residents.
